Doves symbolize peace, resilience, and the quiet strength that emerges after difficult seasons. Their presence invites us to pause, breathe deeply, and return to a place of inner calm.

This portrait honors Anat, a multidisciplinary artist whose journey brought her from Israel to the United States nearly two decades ago. Through years of perseverance, dedication, and hard work, she recently achieved American citizenship—a milestone that reflects both courage and commitment.

In the aftermath of profound world events that deeply affected many people across cultures and communities, I watched Anat continue to speak with clarity, compassion, and conviction. Her ability to hold both strength and humanity in equal measure became a source of inspiration for me.

Creating this portrait was an act of admiration and reflection. As I worked, it became a meditation on endurance, belonging, and the importance of maintaining a tender heart in challenging times.
